As above, I'm building out an old LGA1366 and want to max out the triple channel ram. Looking for three 8gb DDR3-1600 sticks. Registered or Unregistered is fine. ECC would be sweet.

Not trying to TC or anything, but I was thinking the max *per slot* on an X58 chipset was 4GB? You can achieve 24 GB total, but I believe you have to use all six slots at 4GB per slot.As above, I'm building out an old LGA1366 and want to max out the triple channel ram. You may be correct. Thank you.Not trying to TC or anything, but I was thinking the max *per slot* on an X58 chipset was 4GB? You can achieve 24 GB total, but I believe you have to use all six slots at 4GB per slot.
Not really true. Determined by the CPU more thasn the chipset. I have 72GB spread across 9 slots in a Precision T5500. OP, let me check my stash tonight-I may have what you need. Not trying to TC or anything, but I was thinking the max *per slot* on an X58 chipset was 4GB?
