Wtb 16 or 8 GB ddr3 kit 1600 and up

Thanks. That is close but mine are a bit different.

Added description. It is a weird time for DDR3. Pricing is all over the place.

To help get a better match for your current kit of GSkill Sniper, post the first 8 digits of the serial number from the label of one of your modules, as well as stated voltage.

The first four digits disclose the manufacturing date in YYWW format (year & week) and the next 4 digits the "brand" of the memory chips used to produce the modules. GSkill changed this coding around April of 2012 so depending on production date you could have the same memory chips, but coded differently. The more common codes found on Sniper are 0240, 0640 & 0840 (Hynix / Elpida / Nanya) for pre April 2012 and 1400/2400, 1500 , 1800 & 2100 (Hynix / Samsung / Elpida / Nanya).

By finding first matching the IC Code, then the closest possible manufacturing date you will improve your chances of actually having matching modules instead of just matching heatsinks.
