how so well let me explain so i found this on amazon and ordered it
http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-WRT16...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1260043019&sr=8-1
its a wrt160n v3 ddwrt compatible =)

NOW look at what i found
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...Category=86720&_trkparms=algo=LVI&its=I&otn=2 if you have a donor router to hack off the external antenna connectors do it but in my case i needed to buy

so to recap for $50 i have a linksys 802.11 N ddwrt router with external antennas this kicks the pants off the the craptastic 160nl that does not use broadcom chips

I'm running a wrt150n which is the prior model to that, but has external antennas stock, flashed with DD, running in access point mode off of my PFSense router. Kicks the crap out of the various wrt54gl models I ran...when it comes to range and speed.

well this is a true replacement for the wrt54g with removable antennas

Wow, thanks for that. I was shopping to upgrade to N for the plethora of new N devices I seem to be adding at home.

OT: Anyone else think it kind of funny that the assembly pictures were taken outside in the Rain?

WARNING THE ANTENNAS IN THIS KIT ARE FOR SHIT ALSO USE A HIGH WATTAGE IRON FOR THE CONNECTIONS. did it work well i really don't think it did anything useful except i may have myself a $50 paperweight (have to test N band tomorrow) i am expecting a complete and total failure.

its time for me to say this TO HELL WITH YOU LINKSYS YOU BURN IN FUCKING THE 9TH CIRCLE OF HELL AND DIE FOR NOT GIVING US PRODUCT WITH EXTERNAL ANTENNAS BASED ON BROADCOM HARDWARE

They did..the wrt150n. Linksys/Cisco disco'd it, but you can still find them around through various channels, esp on fleabay.
