How bad is this for the Average Joe? I have a Linksys which has no firmware update yet, and the WPS can't be turned off. Do I really need a new router, or is it hype?
Well, someone would have to be in physical range of your wireless and perform an attack, probably for at least an hour.
On the scale of vulnerabilities, you're far more likely to visit a malicious web site or be subjected to an internet based attack than any local physical attack.
