WoW Locking on Install?

I just went out and grabbed WoW. I started installing it and it locked up. Hard drive activity stopped, and I had to restart. I tried it again, same thing. Next time, I shut down Zone Alarm and Virus Scan, and I got all the way to the begining of disc 4 and it did it again. I'm about to give it another go, now. Any ideas?

Best advice I can give you is check http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/ and also their forums, I am sure that you are not alone on this and that is hwere your most likely to get the help you need!

Check the event viewere - maybe you've got a flaky CD drive?

My WoW cds sucked, and would cause my laptop to lockup the installer. However, my computer wouldn't crash or anything. So i ripped the cds on my desktop and burnt them on some cdrs with alcohol and installed beautifully after that. Kinda sad when a burnt cd is read better than a stamped one. Maybe I just got crappy cds, i dunno.
