Would an older Seasonic M12D SS-850 work on today's gaming PCs?

I have an older Seasonic M12D 850W PSU. I'm not sure if it has the correct plugs for an X570 based gaming PC. I'm looking at installing an RX 590 GPU.

I'm pretty sure it'll work fine and has all the correct plugs but I've been out of the loop for five years and I don't want to have to buy another one.

Yes. If it has the required plugs it will work. I didn't click the link, didn't have to. If the PSU comes with at least 2 6 pin PCIe connectors (preferably 2x8pin), and an 8pin for cpu, no worries. 850w is more than comfortable.

Link shows two 6+2pin PCIe connectors. You're good to go.

I'm still using a PC Power & Cooling psu from 2007. You'll be fine.

My Thermaltake Toughpower 1000w is from 2007, and does a fantastic job with my X570+3900X setup using a RTX2080. A high-quality PSU that has been well cared for will last a VERY long time. I don't plan to replace my PSU until the ATX12v spec becomes obsolete.

yeah its fine. but since its really old, and out of warranty, id pop the lid, give it a good clean and make sure all the components are up to snuff.
