I mean.. you can buy the containers in the premium shop. Not that I'd personally do that. I haven't spent a dime on this game since mid 2018.Cool, appreciated. I know I'm a whore but I really want a smolensk before they remove it... need another 75k
Understandable. I want it because I have no other ship that plays remotely like it I'm mainly a BB guy, so those "200 main battery hits in 1 game" are a bitchI mean.. you can buy the containers in the premium shop. Not that I'd personally do that. I haven't spent a dime on this game since mid 2018.
Not sure when they are removing the smolensk. Personally I dont' find the kooter fun so I doubt I'd care for the smolensk.
I got put off by the stealth nerfs and CVs. That’s why I stopped spending money... They got way too much out of me anyways.
They're not going to remove it. There are enough people that have it now and who do very, very poorly in it that it makes it look "balanced" on the spreadsheet.Cool, appreciated. I know I'm a whore but I really want a smolensk before they remove it... need another 75k
If you stroll through the WarGaming WOWS forums, its all balanced, you need to git gud, and if you disagree they will work to get you banned. They're not going to remove it. I fucking wish I was joking.
Also, this is one of those things where ROI is evidently placed ahead of the health of the game. Making a new ship costs a ton of man hours along with the internal testing and whatnot. To introduce it then pull it shortly after release is a huge blow to their investment. That's why the Kutuzov still made them a lot of money (Kutuzov + Irian) and why it's actually much more likely that we won't see the Slava as they literally have zero model changes from the Kremlin so they're much more willing to not have that come back than if it were a new model or one with any significant changes.
The forums are hilarious. A bunch of shitters who pretend that they don't get utterly wrecked when following their own advice. If you stroll through the WarGaming WOWS forums, its all balanced, you need to git gud, and if you disagree they will work to get you banned.
The game is as toxic as the community. I dropped in a week ago, played a few hours in a free arizona they gave me, said, no, its the same shit, and uninstalled.
While I appreciate that the issue is that it's pointless to put any resources into "a better tutorial." The players that really need to have some help are incapable of improving. Consider the lack of new game modes; that isn't because WG doesn't want to put them in but instead that even standard battle is difficult for the lowest common denominator to figure out. WG/Lesta was not prepared for just how bad players actually are and frankly a tutorial or any sort of forced viewing won't change anything.
Is it possible for free? If no, how many doubloons do you feel will be required? 1 booster? 2? all of em?Haha
Feel free to ask any questions. I can't promise answers but opinions are a different story
So first off, the Puerto Rico is a meh ship to begin with.Is it possible for free? If no, how many doubloons do you feel will be required? 1 booster? 2? all of em?
EDIT: Also, do you think there is any chance that WG will see the backlash and drop some of the numbers on the campaign?
Issue is I really want the PR. I know I'm a bit of a scrub in ships, but the Alaska is my favorite ship thus far, and one I seem to play quite well. So a t10 Alaska is something right up my alley. So first off, the Puerto Rico is a meh ship to begin with.
I think to “whale” it and buy it right out it’s about $230 in doubloons.
To grind it, it’s the equivilant to grinding multiple T10s in some of the sections and you only have four days a section. Even the top players think it’s not possible.
So it’s borderline a scam. I know it’s technically not but what they really want is for you to progress part of the way, then have to drop $100-150 in doubloons.
Here is citizen’s rant.
I am more annoyed the christmas boxes are trash... I only have 90 days of premium time left but I also have $120 million credits so maybe I don’t need premium time anymore.
Yeah sounds like a cash drop is necessary. Here is a snip from reddit:Issue is I really want the PR. I know I'm a bit of a scrub in ships, but the Alaska is my favorite ship thus far, and one I seem to play quite well. So a t10 Alaska is something right up my alley.
I bought the first 2 dubloon boosters. I know there's no way in hell I'm getting done with these directives as quickly as needed at my skill level and having a 60hr a week day job
reddit said:We already did the math on how this is basically impossible. Recap of what the missions are on 6th directive:
Reminder you need to do 5 of these, and you have to do them individually
- 20M Credits
- 150K BASE XP
- 350K XP
- 130 Citadel hits (Only "easy" one)
- 7K hits
- 2700 Torp/rocket/bomb hits
- 230 torp/citadel
- 7.2K Secondary hits
(2). One Booster.
Directives 2 – 4 should be completed within 3 days of the directive’s opening;
Reminder of Directive 4:
- 9.3M Damage
- 950K XP
- 8x 27K Base XP (Nations)
- 14.5K Base XP (Europe nation)
That is perfect, and I think I can do the grind as stated with the 2 dubloon boosters.Yeah sounds like a cash drop is necessary. Here is a snip from reddit:
I saw a PR at rank 5 and while no one directed rage I thought he was brave to take that out lol.I don't think the PR is worth the effort by any means. It's a cross between an Alaska and Montana in the sense that the play is familiar with the Alaska but the dispersion is often dog shit because, while it has 2.2 sigma, it is still on the battleship dispersion table. The extra turret penalizes it immensely in reduced reliability, increased detection, longer reload, slightly reduced mobility (but slightly increased speed) etc etc. The turret angles are pretty shit, too.
As far as the event itself is concerned it was very poorly communicated to players and, as far as I'm concerned, is unattainable for free. Looking at the latter half of the directives it's just flat out bullshit. I couldn't complete this in the amount of time they want and I'd have to make myself more vulnerable by not using combat flags and instead using economic flags. Even with the first booster I don't think a lot of people would be able to get the PR in the end.
Unfortunately another issue now is that people are directing their rage at anyone in a PR. I suspect there have been a number of TK incidents aside from just god awful focus fire. And then with the charity stream next week people are flipping out about that for some reason when it doesn't even go through Warships/WG, lol.
I had time to actually look at it and you do get santa crates / coal / steel with the grind. That is perfect, and I think I can do the grind as stated with the 2 dubloon boosters.
Check out citizen winning a 1v1 without using planes... he did this multiple times.Ranked Sprint 1v1 is way more fun that should be allowed.
I mean... wow.Check out citizen winning a 1v1 without using planes... he did this multiple times.
https://clips.twitch.tv/DiligentPeacefulTurtleKAPOWI mean... wow.
But I will say I have had a good number of matches where Hippers, Atagos, Prinz Eugens and Edinburghs just drive in front of my NC broadside at >10KM trying to torp me. I just nose in and body them, but they just keep doing it. So I am not too surprised at the carrier secondary only thing.
Dude, I charged a graff in my amalfi, he straight up wrecked me lol, Granted I only had 1/3 HP, but still. those secondaries....Check out citizen winning a 1v1 without using planes... he did this multiple times.
Russian is basicially IJN with Russian bias.So I have been playing and still cant figure out the meta
Whats the meta for the TX ships?
Back in the day, BBs were
USN was AA and accuracy
IJN was accuracy and overmatch
German was brawling
What is Russian and French?
And WTF is the deal with these TX cruisers/ battlecruisers, they seem like battleships in cruiser spots.
