Im in need of a desk, but i cant decide on one. i need my tower to be close by so i can use my usb ports/mouse.

I have a 32inch monitor.

My available spave is 71inches L x 54inches wide

I really like how somebody on the forum made there monitors higher so they could have more space for their keyboards and etc (not a fan of slide out keyboards)

Monitors higher is generally a very bad idea from the ergonomics point of view, reason for chronic neck area pain. Most relaxing head position is when facing bit down, from this reason the screen middle line should be below eye level.

You can make the shelf in the picture you posted. Ikea makes three different sizes of Capita legs (4 3/8", 6 1/4", 8 1/4").

I would ask about your budget first to see what desk you need.

I had something come up, so I'm going to hold off on buying one.
but if wirk is correct I'll skip on the shelf

My budget is probably going to be $200-300 for the desk
