Try the 32 bit install. Your old hardware doesn't support the required feature set for x64.

MS dropped support of old processors lacking those or other instructions for 64-bit versions of Windows starting in 8.1. There is no workaround since the workaround that allowed 64-bit versions 8, 7 and Vista to work without those instructions is what was removed from the OS.
