WOOT: NEW Olevia 52” 1080p HDTV for $1599.99

NOTE: Shipping is only $5.

Nice deal. (via froogle) Cheapest legit e-tailer that I'd feel comfortable dealing w/ (Mwave) has it @ $1800 + $65 shipping (ground SoCal) + $10 recycling fee. Beyond that it seems to go for $2000+ (ie: $2200 @ Targê/buy.com).

That's one bigass LCD. From what I've heard, even though Olevia is more of a budget-TV, they're still pretty good for the quality you get. [H]ot deal.

This makes me feel good about picking up my 50" vizio on Black Friday for 989$.

I just bought a Samsung 50" plasma (FP-T5084) from Newegg for $1999 shipped, and yes it is 1080P... I feel better about the Samsung than I would the Olevia. Not only that but Plasma owns LCD in PQ.

I'm sure it does but my 50" (mine is bigger than yours of course) excels at sports. It also cost me sub $1000. I'm sure in a couple years i'll buy a blu-ray and utilize full 1080P but i figure, for now if i decide to go that route, upscaled 1080 isn't too shabby. Never mind the fact that it's still bigger than yours. :D

My Philips 42" Ambilight 1080p LCD does HDTV sports JUST fine thanks :D
