For some reason I can not get the wireless clients (both winxp home laptops) to share files/printers with the wired. (all winxp pro desktops) I have tried a few things and am open to suggestions.

Setup: (till I get my smoothwall box setup :()
Motorola SB4200 Modem
Linksys wrt54gs

Thanks

Can you ping the machines? If that works, then it's probably a firewall issue. XP SP2 enables the firewall, which by default doesn't allows File and printer sharing. Check the Exceptions tab on the firewall settings, which you can find in the control panel. If that doesn't fix it, logon to your WRT54GS, go to Wireless -> Advanced Wireless Settings and make sure "AP Isolation" is set to off.

Also, on the Windows XP machines, bring up any folder, goto Tools->Options->View. Scroll down and make sure "Use simple file sharing" is unchecked.

Will try. Why would I want simple file sharing off if xp home uses simple file sharing no matter what?

Pinging works. No AP isolation in the router settings.
