I'm looking for something to replace my Buffalo AirStation Turbo G (WHR-HP-G54) wireless router. The damn thing is really annoying and has to be reset every 1-2 weeks. When it works, the speed is pretty fast but I do experience drops in connection once in a while.
I've looked at the Linksys WRT54GL and it seems to get pretty good ratings on newegg. Has anyone got one of those?

Currently, there are 3 computers on my network and I'm using DSL. My desktop uses a Linksys USB network adapter (G).

Any other suggestions? I don't do much online gaming.

DLink DGL-4300 would be my recommendation.

Very fast and very capable. A definite step above the average consumer router.

I know this is coming a little late, but...

If you've not already bought a new router, why not consider loading just DD-WRT on your existing router? It's on the compatibility list, and would likely solve your reboot issue, as well as add a lot of new features to your router. At the very least it's something to try before you spend more money.

I haven't bought a new one yet, I'm going to give DD-WRT a try first. Thanks!

Alright I have read many reviews and am at a stalemate. I have a gift certificate at Tiger Direct. Both of them are the same price there. The DGL-4300 has many great reviews. The DIR-655 has a couple user reviews that are positive. I am running a half and half wireless/wired network. I am thinking the DIR-655 might have better wireless coverage. The DGL has the good word going for it. Any advice? Thanks guys!

I'm loving the DIR-655 I recently got. Rock solid connection, nice speed increase. Draft N (not that it really matters honestly), QoS engine, great web interface, all the stuff you mentioned. The 4300 is more tried and tested, but the 655 has been absolutely perfect so far. Highly recommended.
