Wireless ethernet Bridge for Xbox

I have two 54G routers. One is a DLink DI-624 that I'm using for routing and hooking up my main PCs. The other is a Belkin F5D7231-4 which I'm trying to use as a wireless bridge so that I could connect my Xbox and use the shared internet connection.

I'm not having any luck getting these two products to work with each other. The Belkin is the only one with the Bridging option and I still can't get it to work. Can this be done with these two products?

have you tried (or is it possible) to set one router in "Client" mode ? Have one router acting as client, the other acting as AP/Router. On the client router, disable DHCP and let the AP/Router handle all the higher level network stuff.

Yeah, I'm not sure why you are bridging when you can just use the belkin as a switch.

Out of the box, probably not.

What is a Wireless Bridge?
A wireless bridge is actually a “mode” in which your Wireless Router can directly connect to a secondary Wireless Access Point. Note that you can only bridge your Wireless G Router (model F5D7230-4,
F5D7231-4) to a Belkin Wireless G Range Extender/Access Point (model F5D7131, F5D7130). Bridging with access points of other manufacturers is not supported at this time.

I believe that this is a WDS link. Another option, more likely to succeed cross-vendor, and also more likely to get you a "bricked" router is to install some 3rd-party firmware, and use its "client bridge" mode. DD-WRT client bridge mode does work, however, its support for this particular Belkin is questionable. Some other Belkins show up in their supported hardware list. This particular Belkin does not, however, someone has claimed some success with it:

I'd recommend going to the DD-WRT forums first and checking it out before attempting a firmware load. I'd recommend high caution in this case, and pretty much a willingness to "brick" the router and to have to buy another device.

what exactly are you trying to do?

can you draw a diagram?
like are you connecting your xbox (xbox or x360?) to the belkin via ethernet or wireless? is the belkin going to be wired or wirelessly connected to your dlink?
