I have a laptop that connects to the internet wirelessly and I want to share the internet by wire to a desktop or say a xbox 360. How do I do it? Thank you.
in theory, you can enable ICS (internet connection sharing) on the wired connection of the desktop. then you run that do a router, or a switch and connect the other devices. (if using a switch you will have to give your devices a static ip, or figure out how to run dhcp on that wired connection on the desktop).. but usually ICS doesn't work very well and breaks all the time.
maybe you can get a wireless bridge, or a hacked os for a wireless router that let's you use it as a bridge.
