I vastly prefer to use WiFi bridges or Powerline Ethernet when I'm working with non-portable equipment that, for whatever reason, can't be run with hardwire to the source.
I should have mentioned, im on a Cisco-Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter atm and hooking up to a open wifi someones net with good signal but the problem is the card is downloading at 6mbps while my phone downloads at 25mbps all on 2.4ghz wifi.Agreed
Wi-Fi adapters suck! They are resource hogs and the drivers across multiple OS’ vary in quality and stability.
Hands down best solution if you have decent Wi-Fi signal? 802.11AC bridge, Ethernet to devices.
#2 is Moca
#3 is powerline
Now throw an ethernet cable in your cart that will reach to your PC.Well well, I am jumping on the FIOS bandwagon. . 1GB/s!

thinking about it I should update to Cat6 I'm guessing I'll have to look up but it just came to my mind as you said that all I got is CAT5 or Cat5e or whatever. Now throw an ethernet cable in your cart that will reach to your PC.
Cat5e is gigabit capable, so if that's what you have, you shouldn't need to buy anything.thinking about it I should update to Cat6 I'm guessing I'll have to look up but it just came to my mind as you said that all I got is CAT5 or Cat5e or whatever.
