I've had this WinTV-HVR-2250 for awhile and it's worked well with windows media center. I wanted to play around with windows media encoder so I installed it and tryed to recorded.
The first error I got was "There was no match for the specifed key in the index. (0x80070491)". That was using a custom session with default settings.
I then tried the Broadcast a Live Event template. This gave me the following error "The parameter is incorrect. (0x80070057)
I've used windows media encoder before many times and never had such issues. I've got the latest driver for the WinTV card. Which btw shows up in WME as WinTV-7164. Google searchs are giving me nothing.
I'm running Windows 7 x64 with all updates. Other than that it's pretty clean. No codec packs. I've got VLC player and Media Player Classic installed.
I'd rather not have to reinstall windows but other than that I'm open to all suggestions.
The other system specs are in my sig. It's the AMD setup.
