I recently built the system in my sig. It was all good. Bur recently i've been getting excessive long load times (hard drive not making any access sounds, sorta sitting idle) where it seems like the processor is stalled on something and sometimes it just stalls completely and XP sits at the load screen. Last night the only way I could get in was to hit F8 and load in debug mode (which for some reason worked completely).

Is there any way I can see what XP is stalling on.

1. I've run prime and memtest for 8 hours each and no failrues.
2. Temps are fine (35C/43C).

The system z00med at first...but something is pissing isn't right.

There are 2 things I can think to check.

1. Boot in safe mode and see if it's pausing on loading a certain driver.

2. Check the event logs(control panel->admin tools->event viewer) and see if there are any errors in there.

Try flushing the prefetch folder (del c:\windows\prefetch\*.*)

Also make sure your sysem date/time are correctly adjusted :)
