Hi guys,

After suffering a nasty malware infection, I enabled DEP for all system processes, after having rebooted, DEP comes up right away saying it cant launch normal windows processes such as explorer.exe, winnit.exe. So I cannot even get to desktop or launch anything, even taskman is marked as a threat!

I put in the XP disc, rebooted and tried the recovery console, as per some suggestions on the web, I tried this command to force DEP off. Problem is recovery console does not understand the /raw switch.

bootcfg /raw /id 1 "/noexecute=AlwaysOff /NOPAE /fastdetect"

Can anyone chime in on this issue?

Thanks.
