What kind of music is the windows xp install music what is the name of the music type?

Where can I get more music like it?

This music makes working on 3d models and coming up with ideas and building stuff more easy for me.

Try ambient or even cafe del mar search words and you'll find some.
 
Ambient and New Age might get you some good results.

Yeah Chillout, ambient, lounge etc. they are somewhat similar and often overlap. There's several "sub" categories to this and you can find days worth of mixes on Youtube.

I have not read/found any official author for the install tune, but try looking up Brian Eno, he is known for having made some work for MS, and he has made some very good similar tunes.

Alternatively try looking up stuff like psybient, psychill or downtempo.

Sounds like the same thing as techno. I like techno, but mostly only the more upbeat ones, and trance. Don't really care for the heavy stuff.
