Windows x64 not shutting down.

Sometimes it does, but often it just stays in the "windows shutting down screen", at which point I manually turn it off. Anyone know how to fix this?

That sounds more like a motherboard problem than a windows problem. Try updating your bios firmware.

was ACPI enabled in your BIOS when u installed windows

I have the same problem, every now and then xp-64 won't shut down or reboot, I don't think its a bios problem. I flashed the bios recently and the problem still occurs.

Completely random.

IMHO, XP64 is still a little rough around the edges. Gotta cut it some slack.
