I somewhat looked online for some help with this, but i was unsuccessful.

My friend just bought a macbook pro. 4g ram, 250g hard drive 2.4ghz dual core.

He still uses some windows applications and asked me to install windows within it using fusion. I did. I installed Xp pro x64. It installed ok, updated ok (when connected WIRED) but when it goes to wireless, i dont get anything.

Is there a way to get the wireless aspect to work?

i assume its because of driver issues...i understood the appeal of using vmware but why dont you use bootcamp.

I was thinking about it, but its not my laptop. He had already bought Fusion, and told me to use it. So, i did.

Ill check the drivers. Thanks

I don't use VMWare, but I know in parallels, you don't actually use a wireless conection.

It's sort of a pass-through networking, where it uses whatever the Host OS is connected to.
(so if i'm on wired, my windows image will use that connection - wireless, it will use that, or dial-up it will use that too)

of course, this could be different with VMWare.
