One of my co-workers came to me asking if I could fix his laptop so I said yes. I received it and turned it on to find that it starts to boot into Vista Home Premium but then shows Configuring Update Stage 3 of 3 0% then it just reboots and keeps doing that until it is turned off. Here are the things I have done:
First I made a complete hard drive backup.
In the F8 > Repair Your Computer:
- Startup Repair (Said it didn't find any error)
- System Restore (No Restore Points)
- Windows Complete PC Restore (No valid backup locations found)
Safe Mode (Does the same Stage 3 of 3 reboot loop)
Used a Retail Vista DVD and Tried the Startup Repair but same as before.
Do you recommend me try anything else to try fix this without reinstalling?
