Will the 64bit version of vista have the same problems with incompatibility as my windows xp 64bit version has?

Programs not running, incompatibility, only a few anti virus programs that will even run.

Will 64bit vista run ALL 32bit versions of software and 64bit version?

Is there a reason to run/buy 32bit ultimate?

Compatibility is likely to get worse, not better.

What apps do you have that don't run in XP64? I'm planning to run this on my new rig and I'm curious about what you're not able to run.

charter's internet securities is a big one. There were a bunch of other ones. I run it dual booted now, but haven't honestly booted xp 64bit in months.

i think its alot better now. i ran x64 and it was hard to find drivers. vista had EVERYthiing my system needed on the install. and they are coming out with new drivers all the time. i dont think x64 really caught on like vista will so there wasnt as much support as there will be for vista.
