Accurate Windows SMP frame times please. If you just want to post some of the log showing the project number and some frames from idle box time, that will be fine. Please include CPU model and current clock speed. I will update this post with new entries. Thanks!

My original spreadsheet is here:
http://members.cox.net/foldinginfo/smp2.htm
Sorted by Project and then by PPDpGHz. Newest entries will be in WHITE rows until the next time I update.

Here is a second offering of the same data. I'll keep both updated as entries are posted. Thanks Sgraffite.
http://cse.unl.edu/~joclark/hordebase/main.php

It lets you sort by any column, and all the data is stored in a mysql database.

http://members.cox.net/foldinginfo/allsmp.htm Linux/Linux on VM/WinSMP comparison. ATM sorted by CPU brand and then PPDpGHz.

Thanks for all the entries so far. I'll keep updating as they are posted. :)

Update on Linux/LinuxVM/Windows comparison:
Finally a WU common to Linux and Windows.
P2605 is now on Windows.
C2D @ 3.33
13:18 per frame average
1906 PPD
572.6 PPDpGHz

Same machine running VMWare/Suse10.1/LinuxSMP on a 2605 made 2144 PPD. 11:49/f
12.5% faster than Windows.

Dual 5150s (4M shared per CPU) @ 2.66GHz
Project 2651 10:14 a frame.

Memory in this box is only 533 instead of 667, so that might hamper it a little since it's running with a divider, it's still quad channel though.

zim need to know project number on the left one

1842 PPD on right instance

P4D @ 3.0GHz
P2651 (1760) @ 29:08f= 869 PPD (289 PPDpGHz)

My 2.33 Memorn does ~ 1200 PPD on Win SMP.

From Dew:
E6400 (2 MB shared cache) @ 3.2GHz
P2651 (1760) @ 13:51/f = 1829 PPD ( 571 PPDpGHz) <---------------seems way way way too fast to be a P2651
Note: I PMed Dew about this unit for verification. It seems more like times for a P2652.

Dunno if it makes a difference, but here are my CPUZ shots of my RAM/CPU:

Just an update, overnight when I actually let my box sit idle, I was at 7:33 a frame with the 5160s and project 2610, almost done, can't wait to get the points from this guy.

Zim, what else are your 5355s running, anything else chewing up CPU time for them?

Zim, what else are your 5355s running, anything else chewing up CPU time for them?

The first unit on the screen shot slowed down from 9:26 to 11:16 for frame 15 when the second unit was started. When I did the figures, I used the times with both units running since that would be the way it would normally be operating.

Seems to be a good bit slower than the nix client assuming this is a 1760 point WU.

P2651 (1760) @ 12:28/f = 2033 PPD (598 PPDpGHz)

BTW, this same machine gets 11:37/f on the 1760 WU running the SMP client in VMware for 2182 PPD so it's pretty close...

Thanks for all the numbers so far.
We need some more AMD numbers too. One of the reasons for the thread is so someone can compare machines that are running the VM/linux setup to see if they would rather switch to the WinSMP. Another reason is to have a nice collection of numbers so someone can easily tell if their machine isn't producing like it should.

Yeah I'd been noticing that there weren't many AMD results... I know we must have more Dual Core AMDs out there.

And it looks like the extra cache on my Opty actually helps with the SMP client compared to your X2 Killer.. wasn't expecting that. Might be some other random factor though. I really want to push this chip farther (I know it'll do at least 2.7), but last time I did my folding times went all to hell. It was stable by all measures though. Might have to try again and see if the SMP client plays better.

I'm at 69% on that 2651 though, I can't wait to complete it.

Also on a 2610, Run 0, Clone 60, Gen 0. T2300 @ stock:
Code:
[09:33:24] Completed 120000 out of 500000 steps (24 percent)
[10:13:31] Completed 125000 out of 500000 steps (25 percent)

[12:13:58] Completed 140000 out of 500000 steps (28 percent)
[13:02:42] Completed 145000 out of 500000 steps (29 percent)
It took you about 2 hours (2:00:49) to do 5 percent. It took me almost 3.5 (3:29:18). Be glad :-/ Frame times just about match the change in speeds, too - ~20 minutes for you, ~40 for me.

How much memory are you running? Rest of system description?

It has 2gb of ddr2 533 ram. Not sure what else would be relevant besides memory but it's a Dell E1505 with a 40gb hard drive and ATI x1400 graphics card running XP Pro. I thought it would be a little faster since it's the predecessor to the core 2 duo. If mine takes 2 hours to do 5 percent, I would think your's would, using the processor speed speed ratio, take about (2/1.67)*2 hours = ~2.4 hours to complete. Does your's have enough memory?
