Windows 95 network works one minute, but not the next

I recently dusted off my OLD computer with windows 95 and installed some old games just for fun. I'd like to also use it as a print server, so it needs to be hooked up to my network. I had it working just fine - it could see all the other computers and browse the internet just fine. Then I restarted it and the network no longer works, it's like it's completely unplugged.

When the network was working it would ask me to log on every time it started up. Now that it's not working, it no longer asks me to log on. I tried deleting all the services/protocols and reinstalling them, didn't help.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Possiblely the nic is bad, or the cable. If possible i would upgrade to at least 98, 95's networking was pretty shitty. If you have another nic i would try to replace it and get the latest drivers, and or swap out your patch cable.
