I'm just wondering if I upgrade my media center to win 8 (pro gets free media center till January) if it is going to let me play my recorded tv shows or if it is going to say they must be played back on the pc that they were recorded on?
Also I have the old ati cable card tuners I hope the still work. If they don't then I won't be upgrading at all. Maybe I will make an image and just try it out to find out.
You won't have any problem with shows without the copy protection flag set, which is the case with most network programming. I'm not sure about those that do have the flag, I came across something about this the other, I'll see if I can dig it up.
