Windows 7 DVD Writer missing in Writing Programs

Hi,

I've got myself stuck - i upgraded to Windows 7 a few months ago via a clean install of a perfectly working XP machine, and cannot get any DVD writing software to recognise my SATA connected DVD Writer, but works perfectly with my PATA drive. The SATA drive shows up under explorer, and I can burn to it using the Windows writer, but no third party tools.

I've tried to fix it vs NeroBurnRights, but that's not changed anything,

Worked perfectly under Windows XP & Linux, but not in Win 7.

Programs tried:
CDRecorderXP
Nero 6
Infrarecorder

Any help would be mostly appreciated.

Drive is a Samsung SH-S203P

I know win 7 has issues with nero 6. Try imgburn.
