I'm using an HP laptop that has a finger scanner, and I always use it to log into my account. I recently needed to go into safe mode, but forgot what f key to press (it's f8) . So, I went into msconfig and chose safe mode boot.
The problem here is that when I go into safe mode, the finger scanner does not work and I forgot my password. Is there a way to force it to boot in normal mode so I can use the finger scanner? I tried pressing f8, and going into normal mode, but I think because msconfig is set to safe mode, it always boots it into safe mode.
Without the finger scanner working, I cannot get into my account. Is there a way to force it to boot normally with the finger scanner working?
