I always used Windows XP on my machines because of INTEL's Hyperthreading. I'm upgrading to a AMD Athlon 64 3700+ on a NForce4 mobo. Can I use Windows 2000 now and take advantage of all the features, etc? I love 2K because it's less bloated.

You can easily make XP run as quick and snappy as Windows 2000. In my opinion, I would think XP would run faster on that hardware, simply because the drivers have all been optimized for XP for the hardware in question. In addition to this, on the hardware you are referring to for your old computer, if you think XP is running sluggish compared to Windows 2000...you probably have bigger issues, like forgotten chipset drivers, etc. On new or somewhat recent hardware, XP is your best choice.
