Windows 2000 Computer Won't Join Windows 2003 Domain

I'm trying to get my dad's laptop to connect to my Windows 2003 Domain. I have the permissions all set but when i try to set the domain in system properties I get "Access Denied" everytime no matter what account I use. What the hells going on?

do you have admin rights on the domain to add a pc?

make sure your w2k laptop is pointing the AD DNS server for DNS. The domain account your using to join it to the domain must be a domain admin if the computeraccount has already been created in AD.
