I have a computer that is dual booting windows 98 and 2000. Each is installed on a different hard drive. When it is starting up it asks me which I want to boot. Right now the default choice is 98, and if I don't choose 2000 within 30 seconds, it boots that. Is there any way for me to set 2000 as the default choice?

I havn't run win2k in a while now but try this and see.

Go to system properties ->advanced tab -> startup and recovery settings and select windows 2000 as the default operating system. You can change the timers there as well. Then hit ok and reboot and see what happens.

(i'm going by what i'm seeing with windows XP so maybe it's not the same but give it a shot).

I believe there is an INI file you can edit as well but I forget which one.
