It could be in your right click on desktopView attachment 400468
Yeah I'll keep it lol had some files showing on the last screenshot =)
I don't even care about the Task Bar location Deus EX Mankind Divided still fires up and my Tim Swenny
endorsed Epic launcher games don't have to be reinstalled.
Nvidia Control panel well there isn't a right click but it's in the system tray anyway.
My right click menu looks completely different. No Nvidia there.

Oh, you have to click show more options.
you liked that comment this morning ~11am....nv control panel is probably under the "see more options" section, thats where amds is now.
No you don't, you can edit your registry to fix it or use a program like WinAero to do it for you. I have laid waste to all instances of this "see more options" plague on this machine and moved the start menu back to where it belongs with the kind of start menu I like. These touchscreen chuckleheads better stay away from my disks. My right click menu looks completely different. No Nvidia there.

You can download the standard drivers directly from NVIDIA. Just copy the download link, paste it into your address bar, and delete the "-dch" from the file name.Nvidia's panel applet location depends on which version of the driver you install. The "normal" version of the driver places it in the control panel. The DCH version (which is the default one on Nvidia's site) adds a UWP Nvidia app. It's one reason I tend to always get Nvidia drivers from Guru3D. That way I don't have to hunt for a the non-DCH driver because I don't want a UWP app.
But then it software emulates the TPM and it really hurts performance.https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...ndows-11-e0edbbfb-cfc5-4011-868b-2ce77ac7c70e
MS gives a way to get around tpm with a registry change....

AMD processors officially compatible with Windows 11, exhibit a three-times increase in L3 cache latency with the new operating system. The new operating system is also found to break the "preferred cores" system on AMD processors (UEFI CPPC2), in which the two "best" CPU cores, which can sustain the highest boost frequencies, are highlighted to the operating system, so most of the light-threaded traffic could be sent to them.
I have to be straight forward and this is the first Windows version that did not even give me the slightest bit of excitement.
try it on hardware, vms run like crap compared.
I installed it in a VM to see what the fuss is about, and to get familiar with it since I'm a Windows admin in my day job.
BUT.. this host mess will never see my main rig. This feels like Windows 8 all over again. (not 8.1)

Maybe I am being paranoid but, I have to suspect that Intel is somewhat involved in this "circumstance." If not, then that really does mean that Microsoft is entirely incompetent.

ps: its 10 with a new skin....
i watched a couple tubers trying it both ways and they were wtfing at the difference. maybe its the new security stuff, idk, but it stuck in my head and ive suggested it a couple time now.Funny that you mention that as it does seem Windows 11 runs like crap in a VM compared to Windows 10, Server 2022... etc..etc..
Definitely has a different "feel" to it
