Well, I got it all together, and, I can not get it woking wiht winamp.

I am running 2.xx something, I am re-installed winamp so many times, so many verisons, and all the same.

I get the infamous "Plug-in executed illegal operation. Restart of winamp is recommended (2).

I am running userport, and the board works fine, I have used toher apps, but, none i have found work with winamp.

Is there a way to make it work, or, have I wasted my time all day for nothing. I have been to gogole and so many forums using the search feature, for a good 6 hours, and it has got me nothing, but angry.

My sys specs:
2500+
epox 8rda+
1gig ram
hard drives
optical drive
windows xp

I have seen a lot of places linking and suppliing the files, and a lot of people with the same problem, but, no solution.

I have these 8 bright blue leds that are blinding me, and I want to have a siezure form them moving, but, no go:(

It would be helpful if you told us what has worked, because then we can narrow down the possible sources of error to a reasonable list.

I figured out what it was.

I was using that stupid userport crap, and I followed the directions. I went to the russian site and then they made no mention about passing the userport.sys at the commnad line like the directions in the userport zip file said to do.

So, now, it is all wokring really good. I also downloaded digimeter 1.7 for some more led effects.

Yeah, I've been there. I really hate it when it's stupid crap that wastes your time...like that.

Yeah and there is not much for futur support for that plug-in or anything else I really found for something small and pidly like this:(

Some of you will need this site..
http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=winamp

Then, here is the how to..
http://www.twistedmods.com/article.php?artid=184&page=1

Then there are some other apps you can DL that will work with this.
http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=59910&highlight=led+port

Then I used the diag program here to test it:
http://www.nyware.de/discolitez/

It is something with userport/vis_leds.dll, wis_leds.dll was not designed with the NT kernel in mind, so, that is why userport is used to gain access under the nt envirment.

hmmm, i like, i might go for that

I have been having a bear of a time getting it to woek in xp with winamp.

I read that in 98 works no probs, all the probs I found where for xp:(

The problem with XP Is the HAL getting in the way. It took me several days to figure out how to do the coding for those two programs. Found out I needed a DLL file, then I had to figure out how to include a DLL in a C/C++ file.
