Remember pre SP1 XP, where to install on a sata drive you needed to load third party ACHI/sata drivers?
Have we reached that point again with Win7?
MS says that Win 8.1 and Win 10 are capable of installing onto an M.2/sExpress drive using the NVME protocol, and I have heard some board vendors (MSI/Gigabyte) say they will update X99/Z170 product BIOS's to permit this too, but will it still need a during-install driver update from a USB key (or equivalent), or, will it just work?
