I'm constantly getting blue screens and all my games are crashing after a fresh format to windows 7. I was getting the same thing on vista 64-bit too before I formatted. This didn't happen when I first built my machine last summer so I'm assuming it is a driver issue.(?) The most recent blue screens have been from dxgmms1.sys. Would going to older video card drivers help? I'm using the absolute latest and flashed my bios to the latest.

Quick Googling has suggested blaming everything from your video driver to your power supply. Some even suggest DirectX issues.

Please tell us what the specs of your machine are (most important: CPU, RAM, motherboard, power supply, graphics card).

Sorry, forgot specs.

Asus P6T Deluxe V2
i7 920 ( no overclocking )
XFX GTX275 AHFF
2x 640gb WD caviar blacks in raid 0 ( 1 extra for backup )
Mushkin ddr3-1600 6-7-6-18
Auzentech forte

I've tried googling my error codes, and like Sovereign said, I can't get a straight answer. I used the directx web installer so I would assume it got the latest for me. I used the latest certified nvidia drivers, and then upgrades to the beta with no change. I'll upload the minidumps I've got. Some of them have different error codes.

Those are half of them from the past few days. Let me know if you want me to open them up and post the exact codes later. They all say driver fault ( maybe thats what it always says ).

I'm sorry, which part are you referring to?

This is was windbg is showing me for some of them:
all 0xc0000005, one was chrome.exe, one was the system, one was bfbc2.exe... starting to look like memory problems, but I never had any issues when I first built my computer.

I'm running memtest right now.

Could be helpful. :)

Nothing better then a domain name for a specific error code. That's delightful.

Did you update your video card drivers? Ive heard of an issue with the new release of nvidia drivers frying cards and causing blue screens. Happened to me, updated to newest drivers, computer started blue screening not to long after and eventually the card died (within a week)

Do you have another video card you could try temporarily? Remove all the video card drivers/software, etc, try a different card and see if you stop getting the crashes...

Booting into VGA or Safe Mode produce the same results? I mean that'd all but eliminate hardware issues...

Can faulty hardware be blamed for the BSOD's since he was geting these errors even while still in Vista?
