I have users at multiple locations that need to share data efficiently with each other. The problem is that the WAN is setup poorly, so mapping a drive and using the data off of remote locations will not work. Due to the WAN, emailing the file is also inefficient.

What is available to sync files on a schedule? Does DFS do file replication/syncing or does it just do share creation based on location? Is there a fairly cheap program available to accomplish this?

Thanks.

What you want, if it's available for windows, is rsync.

And if it's not available for windows...I'd seriously consider running a *nix file system, just to use it...;)

Pretty sure DFS - Distributed File System has time sync config along with master or root share designation?
