WIN XP Temp folder safe to delete?

In this directory (win xp pro) "C:\Documents and Settings\(user name here)\Local Settings\Temp" is 250MB of stuff. Any idea if I can safely delete all this stuff?

well I dont delete the folder I just delete every thing in it. I have seen spyware put itself in there and that is were alot of installion files go when installing but other then that it is ok to empty.

You can delete it if you want, it's recreated if anything goes in there anyways. I usually just delete everything inside though.
