Win 2k and harddrive space

how many GB of harddrive space can win 2k address? i have a fairly old computer (333mhz k6) and want to turn it into a file server. will win 2k be OK or should i go linux (if so, which one?)

Your bios should limit you more than the OS. Windows 2k can see a ludicrous sized drive if necessary. However, given the age of win2k, and the future upkeep, you might want to go the Linux way. Any old Linux should work. I guess I would suggest Debian, or if you want an easy set-up Ubuntu is terrific.
