Will this do the same thing?

Ordered some parts for a mod/build I'm working on and want to know if these parts will do the same thing to convert a slim CD ROM to IDE. I have these parts:
This Cd ROM: http://www.mini-box.com/LG-Slim-DVD-CDRW-Combo-Drive?sc=8&category=20
And this Adapter: http://www.mini-box.com/Slim-Cd-ROM-to-2-5-IDE-Adapter

Now, this leaves me with a 44 pin, mini IDE connector. I also happen to have one of these:http://tekgems.com/Products/la-usde05-hx-ide-k.htm
Which I think will convert ANY 2.5" IDE to standard IDE width/size.

My question is...is this gonna work, or am I using too many adapters?

What you have is exactly what you need. Were you not able to find an adapter to combine the two?

Couldn't find one at the time I ordered and was tired of looking about. Had the IDE converter thing on my desk here and wondered if it would work.
