Will I see an upgrade in performance with a Ryzen 3600?

I currently have a

4.2 ghz intel 4770K
16 gb ddr 3 2400
5700 XT
Windows 10

New setup:
Ryzen 3600
2 sticks 32GBDD4 3600
5700 XT
Windows 10

240 hz monitor

BFV5 avg fps is about 150-180 fps, sometimes 120 fps, 1080p, everything low in Conquest with my current setup. Will I see a boost in minimum frames and maxmimum frames? I have a 240 hz display. I want to upgrade for BFV and for future games. I'd upgrade right now if I saw a jump in minimum frames in bfv.
Anyone know where I might see an upgrade in bfv with the new set up? Will it help in intense situations?

thank you

I upgraded to 3900x from 4770k and couldn't be happier. In BFV the 4770k all threads were at 100% load during BFV multiplayer and my 2080Ti was like 40% usage. Clearly BFV utilizes threads well and the CPU was bottle necking the GPU.
With the 3900x and the 2080Ti combo he GPU hovers at 90 to 98% and CPU at 40-50% usage. I went from 40-60 FPS in game to well over 144 FPS (1440p Ultra settings and a second monitor). If what I've read about the 3600 is true, you should expect a 25% increase in performance and most folks are very happy with the upgrade. GL

Yes, BF5 makes very good use of threads. Additionally, the 4770K is a bit long in the tooth, in terms of the CPU architecture. But a 3600 would even be a clear upgrade over a 7700k, in BF5, specifically.

The 7700k makes no sense as it would also require a new motherboard/socket/memory also. The only upgrade from where the OP is now is a 4790k and it's not really an upgrade unless it clocks higher. If you're going to spend the time and money to upgrade to anything, might as well go Ryzen.

I agree. The average probably won't go up significantly, but it will help the minimums and 1% lows in intense situations.

if you can find the 3600x for a good deal, that's also a good option for the higher single thread boost.. with the 3600 if you can keep temps at 66C or lower it'll pretty much sit at max 4.2Ghz on all cores no problem.

The 3600 or 3600X will certainly help with minimums in BF5. Your max and avg probably won't increase a lot since you just have a 5700XT. I would upgrade the CPU no matter what as a 4770K will hold you back more and more as time goes on.

I wasn't actually suggesting the 7700k. I was talking about how sensitive BF5 is to extra threads. Such that, even the "best" quad core ever, will still clearly lose to a 3600, in BF5.

BF5 loves threads. The average framerate would certainly be meaningfully higher than a 4770k.
