Will I need to update the bios on my x299 board?

So I won a GIGABYTE X299 AORUS Ultra Gaming board on eBay for cheap. And it looks like all the 2066 CPU prices are bonkers. The i5s used to be dirt cheap on eBay second hand. Now it seems they do for 300 some dollars for a junk CPU that makes no since.

So if I got say an i7 9800x or any other 9xxx CPU and the board lacks the newer bios for the 9xxx CPUs do I have any other options shy of getting a 7xxx CPU to flash the board?
 
Does the documentation say anything about a USB flashback or CPU free flash? I tried to look at the page, but it took forever to load with all the RGB bling.

I don't know, I was thinking about that. Yeah this board is loaded with RGB. I'll have to find a way to rip that crap off it.
