or should I buy a 24 inch monitor, people say 1080p is too low res for 27inch monitors and I do sit close

1080p will have a higher pixel density on the 24 inch as opposed to the 27 inch. The video card used wont make a difference if its outputting 1080p.

I have a 27" 1080p monitor and its fine. 4x AA or supersampling will make any game look good.

Either get a 24" 1080p monitor or get a 27" 1440p monitor. The QNIX QX2710 Evolution II is a great 27" 1440p monitor and has the ability to overclock to a 120Hz refresh rate.

I don't think a 770 is good for 1440p gaming, and three years from now ill have the same equipment newer games will be even harder to push at those resolutions

so it looks like im going to stick with a 24 iinch 144hz monitor zoom zoom

What are you playing on now? If a 27" , get a 27" 120hz/144hz if 24", stick with your plan to buy a 24" 120hz/144hz

It's a pixel density issue. Its one of the reasons I prefer a 21.5" 1080p screen to a 27" 1080p one. Tough a 27" 1440p screen will eliminate that altogether.

Stop sitting so close?

Lol, yep.....but we gotta count those pixels per inch though!

My 27inch 120hz is nice and clean compared to my 27" 60hz. I'm sure a 27" 1440p would be at much better, but what is the refresh rate?

Buy a monitor for your needs. I mainly play FPS so I need/want a fast refresh rate
