Wikipedia pages don't save?

When I save a Wikipedia page to my hard drive and then open the local version in my browser, the images don't load. This happens if I use Firefox or Chrome. I have tried saving in both browsers, too (as "complete" pages). When I open the accompanying folder for the save page, the images are all there and open fine in an image viewer.

Anyone else have this problem, or know what's causing it? This has me baffled, because it certainly wasn't always the case.

I did a quick check and was able to save an image search page and load it in both browsers just fine, so at first blush it looks like a wikipedia issue.

Does anyone else even have this problem? I save "complete" Wikipedia pages with Chrome, Firefox, etc., and when I load the saved html file in Chrome, Firefox, Brave, EPB, etc., the images aren't displayed, even though they're saved to the corresponding _files folder.

Added another browser, Opera, because it can save pages as single mht files natively. They save and load fine.
