Why do PC Games take a few seconds (5 to 6 seconds or less) to exit?

I have a SSD and the games are installed on there.

My PC specs are:

i7 7700k
32 GB of ram
Geforce 1080 ti
500 GB SSD
4 TB SATA drive

Shutdown processes
releasing resources sensibly
saving ini files and other logs (can hold up shutdown processes if the SSD is busy)
retrieving swapped out OS data from the swap file
...

Do some benchies on your SSD to see if it needs some tlc.
It might be a crappy SSD.
