Why do browsers always show download speed but never upload speed ?

Thats a lot of disks, but more importantly, disk F being drive 0 causes me physical discomfort.....

You browser only know how to download. downloading its is core function (download and display files)
You browser never uploads. it will run code from a website that handles the upload but it has no uploade code itself ( beside ftp support)

So the question is not related to the browser but the website you are using to upload stuff
