I have a LG LCD 32in tv/monitor and I have the option of using 1920 x 1080 but when I set it to that it goes way off the screen is there any way of getting it to fit? Also letters are a little blurry.

Is it a 1080p television?

What model is it?

you maybe able to run it on 1080i and not 1080p. Depends if your TV is capable of 1080i. good luck

Why would I want to go a lower resolution? I can do 1280 x 1024 I just thought I'd be able to go higher than that with a larger monitor I went from a 19in to this 32in

720p means you can run at 1280 x 720 resolution. 1080p sets run at 1920 x 1080. you would need 1080i to run an interlaced image, but i suggest you just run 1280x720 progressive.

yup, upgraded the size, downgraded the resolution.

Your TV is capible of 1280 X 720, if you put a bigger image on it either the TV will scale it to fit 1280 X 720 (making it look worse), or it will do the thing where you can sorta push the edges around on the TV.

Sorry bud, gotta get an expensive 1080p TV if you want 1920 X 1080.

you should adjust your display properties to match your tvs NATIVE RESOLUTION

post your model number like others have said and you will get more help

Some 720p/768p tv's can accept a 1080p signal....but it will be scaled and not true 1080p. Some sets do it better than others though..

I hope you just bought it so maybe you have the chance to return it. You should have been looking for a 1080P set, which yes, is more expensive. But if you are going to use it as a PC monitor, I don't think 720P is all that acceptable (and I'm sure you can see why!) :)

You are so lucky this is Not the message board over at BGOL or the clowning would go on for at least 15 pages.
But, I am also going to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that you do not know to read the box and find out what the native screen resolution is before you buy a monitor.

There is a VERY OLD saying " LET THE BUYER BEWARE "
and " Look TWICE cut once "

I sugest you check these Threads about 32" 1080p monitors

I hope that you did not spend MSRP : $899.95 for that screen

I still have and am happy with my Sharp Aquos LC-32GP1U as a Gaming Monitor
