Why are the latest LCD/LED monitor offerings 1080p?

It mostly has to do with the pixel density of the articulamotron receiver within the parnoma blaster capsules (PBC) in the individual nodes of the monitor modules.

It's a more standard resolution that can be marketed I think. Also I think wider screens are easier to make. I'm waiting for a 40" 4k 2.40:1 screen.

You probably 1920x1200, Anyway the most logical reasoning is that it is way cheaper to cut glass for 1920x1080 screens as opposed to cut glass for both aspect ratios.

They use the same panels to make HDTV and monitors..... that would make they cost rise if they bought/mad 2 different panels......Thats how I see it!.
