I don't, but I'll be joining the club with the Orange Box
Which came first?
Half Life 2 or HL2 episode one

Is the orange box a steam based setup? This is the only reason I have not bought HL2.
I think 4 would be stretching it a bit. Probably 8 hours would be the quickest you could finish it.just beat episode 1 in 3-4 hours, intense game! i beat half of hl2 in a matter of hours maybe 4, but then had to format so i have to replay it! urgg!

I dont have and have never played HL. Maybe somebody would be kind enough to give me their copy when they upgrade to something else?

Unless you have serious issues with the idea of someone getting recompensed appropriately for their IP and not ripped off by warez kids (i.e. issues with DRM), then I highly recommend Steam. It's come on in leaps and bounds since release and is now some kind of iTunes/Facebook hybrid. You'd be surprised just how many publishers are on board and what kind of bargains you can pick up on older titles or packages like the Orange Box, with older titles being thrown in for free along with newer stuff.
Hell, it's worth getting stuff on Steam just so you can stay up to date with patches automatically and be able to run games without have to fish out the CD, legally.
You forgot Fortress Forever. How could you? There's plenty of free mods out there...one of the reasons that I am just going to LOVE the Orange Box
Goldeneye Source, Perfect Dark Source, Minerva, Dystopia, older versions of GMod, and so on...practically endless
You forgot Fortress Forever. How could you?
Very much so. FF essentially uses the source engine to recreate TFC. Other than the graphics updates, the creators tried to keep it as precisely the same to the original as humanly possible. If you're familiar with TFC, you'll fall right into old habits with FF.I figured TF2 counted for the 'Fortress' experience. Was I wrong?
Are the two very different in terms of gameplay?
