My school has MSDN deals where I can run windows 2003 server standard, web, or enterprise. Ive used linux for so long, but I've finally decided that I want easy file sharing, that I'm ok with apache on windows, and that my media needs have grown too much...

I only want to host content with apache, serve files with the windows network, use it for windows based post processing, and remote desktop in.

is there one version thats better than another?

The hardware is a dual amd 1533mhz system with a gig of ram, and is on everyday.

no raid or anything fancy.

thanks!

It sounds like the regular standard version would be fine for what you want to do.

good deal.

The only feature I'll miss from linux is ssh'ing in to my directory. Is there a way to set this up on windows? or something similar?

Thanks.
