This is the future job market :(

It's the current job market quite frankly, even here in silicon valley. It's astonishing we've gotten this far.

Of course look at how much of the current software is complete garbage and it becomes no longer surprising.

I guess I'm lucky. Of the 3 jobs I have had in life. I only ever gave applications to 2 companies for jobs, and only looked for a job once.

I'd say this is a Russian outsourcing company's attempt at spam. Don't worry guys, your jobs are safe.

PS: You make your own luck. If you truly believe that everything is out of your control, than you're screwed (otherwise known as unlucky).

An Adderall prescription.

Seriously, though. There are two types of programmers- people who should be programmers and are, and people who should not be programmers but are anyway. If you fall into the latter group, which includes the people that tend to not genuinely love it, you're in for an uphill battle.

And, also, the comment about luck is just a cop-out. Make your own luck, be credible in whatever you do, and take what you want.
